creating gender disparity in technology sector
and unemployment or take low paid jobs.

Sri Lanka is a hub of technology innovation.
The technology sector need more hands.
The solution is to motivate girls to learn technology.

Teachers and Parents lack awareness of emerging ICT careers. In 2015 Among 273,224 GCE O/L exam candidates only only 43,781 took ICT, resulting in-adequate entrants to high school tech steam, started by government building 100 high tech labs with each 64 computers.

A study carried out among 20 schools in Kandy, Colombo and Anuradhapura, including online discussions, and meetings with education ministry, IESL and CSSL and ISOC, found the need for increase girls in technology and awareness among people .

Students not selecting technology education at grade 10, creates 25% surplus for art sector unemployment. Rural girls are most vulnerable lacking skills to get a decent job in booming technology sector and demand high quality human resources, with analytical, logical and creative skills. We we found this gap in national STEM education.
